About Ricardo Amper
Ricardo Amper is the founder and CEO of Incode Technologies, started in 2015 in San Francisco with a vision to transform the digital identity marketplace and the ways humans experience their identity journeys. By fueling digital trust in the identity ecosystem, Incode’s cutting-edge identity solutions are solving global security challenges and elevating human interactions with data, products, and services – at all levels.
Leveraging advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies, Incode develops extremely usable, high-performance, and privacy-centric identity solutions that help the world’s largest banks, financial institutions, governments, retailers, stadiums, and other industries increase revenue and reduce fraud while providing convenience and outstanding experience for users. Built for the next generation of consumers, Incode Omni is a fully automated, end-to-end orchestration platform that delivers the highest standard in security, user experience, and regulation with a set of Incode-developed, AI, ML, anti-fraud, and digital onboarding, authentication, and ID verification components.
In 2021, Incode made a big splash with the news that it had raised a total of $255 M in funding over 2 rounds and an initial seed round on the strength of its Incode Omni identity platform. This event has launched the company to unicorn status with a valuation of $1.25 billion. The company is recognized as a leader in enterprise-grade facial recognition technology by the US Government’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), building the customer experience of the future, while helping businesses increase conversion rates and reduce fraud.
A big data developer with a passion for technology, Ricardo has over 20 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur and founder of companies across multiple industries. Born in Mexico, Ricardo is a proven visionary leader focused on results. In 2000, he founded La Burbuja Networks, a social media company. Three years later, he co-founded Amco Foods, which was later acquired by Grupo Bimbo (MEXI: BIMBO). He then became CEO and CTO of Grupo Amco, a chemical product distribution company. After repositioning and reinvigorating the business by developing proprietary big data and machine learning systems, he sold the business to Brenntag (IBIS: BNR).
Ricardo currently lives in San Francisco, from where he continues implementing Incode’s vision of One Identity Everywhere to facilitate people’s access to services, contribute to reducing inequalities within societies, and provide freedom, and opportunities for growth while preserving the fundamental right for users to control their identity information.
