Celebrating 11 years of culture, ownership, and trust at Incode

Eleven years ago, Incode set out to solve one of the toughest challenges in the digital world: establishing, and holding, trust. Today, our technology helps some of the world’s largest organizations verify identities, stop fraud, and build safer digital experiences at a scale we couldn’t have imagined when we started.

We got this far thanks to every Incoder who joined us along the way.

Nearly 700 people across the globe have had a hand in shaping Incode. Some have been here since day one. Others joined just last month and are busy making a tangible impact. All together, they’ve built more than a category-defining company. They’ve built a culture rooted in ownership, resilience, and trust.

As we mark our eleventh anniversary as of June 2026, I want to take a minute to think about the values that carried us here, and those that will usher Incode into the next chapter.

We’ve Remained Resilient Since Day One

Every company has a hard story to tell. We’re no different.

We found product-market fit in an industry that, strictly speaking, didn’t exist yet. We expanded globally in the middle of a pandemic. We’ve weathered rapid growth, major funding milestones, shifting customer needs, and a quick-evolving regulatory landscape.

At every turn, we have adapted and pushed ourselves further than we thought possible. Instead of shying away from changes, we’ve embraced technological advances and market shifts, using them to our advantage time and time again.

Better Ideas Come From Honest Conversations

Echo chambers don’t facilitate breakthroughs.

At Incode, we push on each other’s thinking. We debate, ask the uncomfortable question instead of letting it slide, and disagree, sometimes loudly, before we align, commit, and move. That willingness to sit with a little friction has turned into one of our biggest advantages. As a result of it, we’ve cultivated a culture of respectful honesty and directness.

Being okay with discomfort is part of how you build something customers can actually trust, especially when you’re moving as fast as we do.

Our Greatest Strength Is Our People

Incode is a truly global company, with offices in San Francisco, New York, Mexico City, Bogotá, Belgrade, Tel Aviv, Barcelona, Madrid, and London, and team members across dozens of countries. That range brings together diverse perspectives to solve some of the world’s most complex identity challenges.

Something interesting happens when people with completely different backgrounds and experiences end up working toward the same goal: The ideas get sharper, and the problems get solved faster than any one person could manage alone.

Although we operate in a hybrid environment, we intentionally invest in bringing people together in person. Face-to-face time is where relationships deepen, where we understand each other’s cultures more fully, where we collaborate more effectively, and where trust across teams gets stronger.

Ambition Is Our North Star

Incode attracts people who are bright, passionate, and ambitious, with a real drive to make an impact. It’s an intense environment, not always a perfect one, but it’s consistently centered on solving meaningful problems, putting customers first, building cutting-edge technology, working alongside exceptional talent, and operating with transparency.

Ownership Is Part of the Job

One thing hasn’t changed since day one: we believe people do their best work when they’re trusted to do it.

That means giving context instead of just handing out tasks, and giving people room to run instead of hovering over their shoulder. We believe that it’s important to emphasize more than just what a product is. We want every single Incoder to understand why our products matter, both for our clients and our clients’ end users.

When you provide clarity, people stop waiting to be told what’s next and start looking for the next problem worth solving, the next process worth fixing. They own the outcome, not just their piece of it.

We’ve Built A Place Where People Grow

Since we started, Incode has grown tremendously. Like any fast-scaling company, we’ve experienced, and continue to experience, growing pains: organizational changes, evolving communication, shifting priorities, and new ways of working. Those challenges come with the territory when you’re building at this pace.

One of the best parts of the last 11 years has been watching people grow right alongside the company. Individual contributors have become leaders, people’s careers have taken turns nobody would have predicted, and roles have been reinvented as the business changed shape around them.

There’s no single path for growth here. It’s been driven by curiosity, by people raising their hands, and by a willingness to treat ambiguity as an opening instead of a wall.

Like any company, we’ve made mistakes along the way, adjusted, and come back stronger for it. What hasn’t changed is our commitment to a place where people can show up as themselves and keep growing into who they’re becoming.

We’re proud of the products. We’re just as proud of the careers we’ve had a hand in.

Transparency and Collaboration

Despite all that change, we’ve stayed remarkably consistent in the core pillars of our culture: transparency, collaboration, attracting exceptional talent, and helping people maximize their strengths. Those principles have let us work through challenges while continuing to grow, innovate, and even acquire other companies, all while staying true to who we are.

Trust Goes Beyond Our Product

Trust sits underneath everything we do.

We trust our teams to make good calls. We trust each other to say the hard thing out loud instead of sitting on it. We trust our customers to tell us where their challenges are heading, and they trust us to help solve them.

That foundation is what lets us move fast without cutting corners on what actually matters. It’s what makes room for experimenting and learning without losing the integrity our customers expect from us.

For a company built around digital trust, there’s really only one way to live that mission: practice it internally first.

Culture as a Competitive Advantage

Products evolve. Technology changes. Competitors emerge. But a strong culture, built consistently over time, is incredibly difficult to replicate. It’s one of the few competitive advantages that can’t be copied.

People Genuinely Care About Each Other

Beyond the ambition and high standards, people at Incode genuinely care about one another. Colleagues build real friendships, celebrate each other’s wins, support one another through hard moments, and enjoy working together.

What People Can Expect at Incode

When you join Incode, we encourage you to bring your authentic self, to be resourceful, to embrace accountability, and to operate with a high-performance mindset while continuously learning and growing.

What’s Next After Year Eleven

The milestones speak for themselves.

Incode now works with eight of the 10 largest banks in the United States. Our platform has processed more than 7.1 billion trust checks and created over 400 million identity profiles. We’ve been recognized by Gartner® as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant™ for Identity Verification two years running, built the most accurate deepfake detection system in the world, and contributed to top-level conversations about the future of AI, fraud, and national security.

Those numbers represent a lot of hard days, a lot of hard calls, and a stubborn refusal to cut corners. But ask almost anyone at Incode what’s next, and you’ll hear some version of the same thing: we’re just getting started.

The challenges around digital identity aren’t slowing down. AI is reshaping the threat landscape faster than we’ve ever seen, and the opportunity to make the digital world safer has never been bigger.

Eleven years in, we’re still showing up with the same curiosity and urgency we had on day one.

To everyone who’s been part of this: thank you. Here’s to what we’ve built together, and to everything ahead.
