TrustGraph privacy guarantees

Four rules that keep identities and institutions hidden every time TrustGraph runs a query.

They make sure that nobody in the process, including the institutions taking part, learns more than they need to.

What are the TrustGraph privacy guarantees?

They are four guarantees that hold on every query: end-user de-identification, requestor de-identification, voucher de-identification, and no response disclosure.

What is end-user de-identification?

It means identifiers are de-identified before they leave the institution's environment, and raw customer data never crosses the network.

What is a voucher in TrustGraph?

A voucher is a participating institution that contributes to the answer to a query. Voucher de-identification means the asking institution cannot see who contributed.

What does no response disclosure mean?

A contributing institution learns nothing from the outcome of a query, including whether its own data matched.

Are the guarantees a policy or part of the design?

They are properties of the architecture, so they follow from how the system is built.
